How Tropical Beauty Inspires My Paintings
Tropical beauty inspires my paintings because I find a great sense of peacefulness and happiness in those places that I can’t explain. Recently I took a trip back to Florida and realized that is where my heart is. It’s always been there since I first visited as a little girl.
You will be able to read about more details in my upcoming 2020 inspirational book. My book is in the early phases and the date is being determined. As you know, my subjects primarily include any type of seascapes and animals or tropical flare. When I visited again this time, I realized that is where I need to be.
We had moved away to the Atlanta area due to my husband’s travel, however, I know I want to go back at least for winter when my children graduate. I love the feel of sunshine on my skin, watching the sunsets followed by stars over the ocean and the fact that I can go biking or walk on the many trails nearly all year long.
This beautiful White Egret that had been perched on the nearby oyster beds was stunning. He took off and flew right in front of me. If you look close, you will see the Osprey in the background. I only wished I had a larger camera lens during my trip, but I focus more on painting than photography.
Since I took nearly 800 Photos, I will be painting at least a few if not several. However, I do have that important May 2020 exhibition and book to complete first.
