Sketching a Painting Commission

Here you can see me sketching a painting commission.

Preliminary sketches are the first step. Once I have that basic outline complete I will check with my client for their approval to proceed.

These preliminary sketches aren’t very detailed because I do that part with the paintbrush.

This step for laying out proper proportions and perspectives. Often it looks like a cartoon until I begin to paint the details.

This happens to be the beginning of a very special surprise commission that you can see in a few months.

Creating special paintings for others makes me happy.

Also, I am open for commissions starting mid July. A little side note whether large or small, paintings make wonderful thoughtful gifts.

Wishing you all the best.

Tina Stoffel

As seen reflected in her paintings Tina A Stoffel connects deeply with nature, animals, and music. As explained in her upcoming book, creating art has been Tina's lifelong passion. She says creating art has a meditative effect, bringing her peace and happiness where time often seems to disappear. Tina's goal is creating work that brings that same peace and happiness to others along with generating environmental and animal awareness. Her subjects are primarily focused around seascapes, beaches, wildlife and animals. She takes great pride in the quality of her work, often stretching her own canvases and using professional quality artist materials.
