Learning From Mistakes

As a matter of fact, I had a huge mistake happen at the end of this painting.

Painting the sides by Tina Adams Stoffel

After spending weeks developing the fine detail, I finished by painting the sides white.

What I didn’t see coming was that I had my paint a little too thin causing tiny little white paint droplets to splatter onto the painting surface.

Of course, I gasped and instantly thought “Oh no, what did I do?”

As I was proceeding with my touch-ups, I noticed there were a few little areas I hadn’t seen or noticed around the reigns that needed more detail work.

It was then that I reframed my thoughts and realized it probably happened for a reason.

Currently, I’m awaiting my 3rd coat to cover the sides nicely before professionally photographing this horse painting which will be for sale and posted to my website, www.TinasFineArts.com.

I hope this helps you if you’re dealing with errors and mistakes you’ve made.

Wishing you a wonderful day.

Tina Stoffel

As seen reflected in her paintings Tina A Stoffel connects deeply with nature, animals, and music. As explained in her upcoming book, creating art has been Tina's lifelong passion. She says creating art has a meditative effect, bringing her peace and happiness where time often seems to disappear. Tina's goal is creating work that brings that same peace and happiness to others along with generating environmental and animal awareness. Her subjects are primarily focused around seascapes, beaches, wildlife and animals. She takes great pride in the quality of her work, often stretching her own canvases and using professional quality artist materials.
