When I was younger I did not understand this concept but the older I get the more it makes sense to me.
When we become mindful of our thought patterns it becomes apparent how important our thoughts are and how they directly affect our experience in this life.
For example, I fell victim to societal beliefs that it is difficult to make it as an artist. Do you know what that caused me?
That one stereotype of the starving artist caused me to give up on my true passions and dreams in life for a very long time. The cost of that was my true inner happiness because I wasn’t pursuing my soul’s calling.
Although it’s been a challenge at times, like anything in life, I’ve now been operating as a fine artist for several years. I’m grateful to now be represented by four art galleries and I’m as happy as can be.
The above photo is a work in progress of a bear painting I’m currently creating. I’m making final tweaks on the background and then will be moving on to detailing the bear. Thank you to the wildlife photographer Bob Barton for the wonderful Reference photo.
I hope you find this post encouraging. Wishing you all the best in life.
