Most of us can relate to this feeling while taking the first step. Even I sometimes hesitate when starting a new project. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with the details and work that lies ahead, but simply taking the first step is uplifting. Knowing I can break down the rest into smaller steps is very helpful.
For me, it’s that first step on a blank canvas when making the first marks. Since I’m a realism artist, this can happen to me at the beginning of a journey with each painting. Although they do not look appealing to me in the beginning, each session brings out the beauty of the subject and when I am finished, I’m often surprised at what I’ve created.
In essence, we need to rely on that inner knowing that we are capable of completing any task. It’s a matter of believing you can accomplish anything you desire.
I hope you find this encouraging upon facing your future projects. Wishing you a wonderful week.
