5 Tips for Coping With Overwhelm

Fine Artist and Author Tina Adams Stoffel shares 5 tips on coping with overwhelm.

Life can get hectic at times and coping with overwhelm can be a challenge. Here are some helpful tips I have for you.

  • Make a schedule of priorities
  • Decide if you can get the easy tasks out of the way so your list isn’t so long.
  • Write a list of your daily accomplishments
  • When tackling a large project, break it up into bite sized pieces.
  • Reward yourself for small accomplishments. This can be as simple as a nice bath, stroll or a small break.

Bonus Tip

View art, it has been proven to be relaxing.

While I am still painting, it has been slow due to tons of things going on behind the scenes.

It’s been overwhelming, but I ease my mind by reminding myself that I am making progress.

This affirmation came to me last night and I wanted to share it with you.

When things get tough, keep reminding yourself it will pass and you are making progress. It’s crucial to a healthy mindset to give yourself this kind of care and understanding instead of beating yourself up.

Tina Stoffel

As seen reflected in her paintings Tina A Stoffel connects deeply with nature, animals, and music. As explained in her upcoming book, creating art has been Tina's lifelong passion. She says creating art has a meditative effect, bringing her peace and happiness where time often seems to disappear. Tina's goal is creating work that brings that same peace and happiness to others along with generating environmental and animal awareness. Her subjects are primarily focused around seascapes, beaches, wildlife and animals. She takes great pride in the quality of her work, often stretching her own canvases and using professional quality artist materials.
